Rewilding captive tigers

July 14th : Times publishes a paper upon southern chinese captive tigers rewilding in South Africa. Li Quan, President of the association Save Chinas Tigers, who had constructed this original experiment in 2003, makes a point on evolution and perspectivals of the action.
Tigers learn life in the wild with the best zoothechnicians of the world in this domain.
They are already efficient in hunting, and the major step to clear is now reproduction. When it will be successfully realized, a further step is relocalizing cubs or grand cubs in prepared chinese wild areas.
Southern chinese tigers are less (and probably much less) than 30 in the wild in China, and none has been observed since several decades (a few pawprints observations have occasionnaly been realized).
They are less than 60 in captivity, where they donít breed, contrarily to their bengal and siberian congeners.
So, for this particular variety of tigers, Li Quan experiment is of capital importance.
